PRAISE HIM!

TODAY'S READING: 1 Sam. 24; Ps.57,58; 1 Chr.8; Mt.8

SCRIPTURE

Ps. 57:8-11 [8] Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre!
I will awaken the dawn. [9] I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;
I will sing of you among the peoples. [10] For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. [11] Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.

OBSERVATION

This Psalm follows on the heels of 1 Sam. 24; when David and his men were hiding in a cave, and Saul came in the cave to relieve himself. David could have taken Saul life and didn't.
Instead David praises God. Early in the morning, David; proclaims God's love.

APPLICATION

It's early in the morning, the sun has not yet rose. It's Monday morning and not only is a new day dawning, but a new week. What does the Lord have in store for me? I don't know, but this I do know, I will praise him, I will proclaim His love, I will purpose to let His glory be known all over my world.

PRAYER

Father,
Be glorified, this day use me to testify to Your greatness, not mine.
Be honored, this day use me to testify to Your love, not mine.
Be praised, this day use me to testify to Your faithfulness, not mine.
Let my soul sing, Great is My God, and Greatly to be Praised.
