TODAY'S READING: Isaiah 65,66; Ps. 62; John 3

Scripture

Is. 66: 2 Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being? declares the LORD. "These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word."

Observation

These, he didn't say "this"! He didn't say this is the one; he said those

Application

I want to be counted among them: humble, contrite in spirit, and trembling at God's word.

Prayer

Lord God Almighty;
Work a work that only you can work in my heart, mind and soul.
May me humble, recognizing my need for you continually.
May me contrite in spirit, knowing I cannot do life without you.
May me tremble at your word, not afraid of it, but in awe that you have chosen to reveal yourself to me through it.
Lord God Almighty;
I desire to be one of "these"
