He rose for more than me, He rose for community

TODAY’S READING:
Josh. 15-17; 1 Cor 8

Scripture

1 Cor. 8:6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.

Observation

Notice the "us's" the "we's".
Yet for us - yet for us there is but one God
for whom we live - the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live
through whom we live - and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.
One God, One Father, One Lord Jesus Christ.
One for whom we live
One through whom we live

Application

It's Easter morning, and it's about Him. He is risen.
But I miss the meaning of Easter, if I think He rose just for me.
He rose for us, For God so loved the WORLD, that He gave is only begotten Son.
He created us for community, to celebrate together, to cry together, to care.
Resurrection, redemption, revelation belong to us.
Enjoy Easter, with others and may God be glorified.

Prayer

We serve a risen Saviour, He's in the world today.
He walks with us, and talks with us, along life's narrow way.
We serve a risen Saviour, Christ Jesus, - risen today!
