BE THERE

TODAY’S READING: Judg. 11,12; Ps. 50; 2 Cor 1

Scripture

2 COR. 1: 3,4 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, [4] who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

Observation

He's there for us, Father of compassion, God of all comfort.
He calls us to be there for others.
He calls us to share his compassion, his comfort
Comfort them with what? With the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

Application

He is there for me.
I need to be there for others.
Full of compassion, Full of comfort.

Prayer

Father,

Allow me to feel your comfort and compassion.
Allow me to be your comfort and compassion.
Fill me to an overflowing, touch lives through me.
Thank you for having touched mine.
