1 Cor. 16:13,14 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. [14] Do everything in love.
Observation
Paul ends his letter to the church at Corinth with some challenging words.
Be on your guard - what's there to watch out for?
Stand firm in the faith - is it about to be tested?
Be men of courage - I'm getting nervous, what's around the corner?
Be strong - Who, what, where, when, why and how - I feel an attack coming?
Do everything in love. I'm not sure what's coming, I know how to response.
Application
Ever want to be wrong about something. These words of Paul should be motivational.
I'm feeling intimidated by them and I'm not sure why.
But whatever comes my way, I'm to response to it in love.
It's only Monday, and for some reason I'm feeling intimidated, this is crazy.
Prayer
Holy Spirit,
Comfort me, equip me, make me more like Jesus.
