TODAY'S READING: 1 Chr.25-27; 1 Th. 4

SCRIPTURE

1 Th.4:1 As for other matters, brothers and sisters, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more.

OBSERVATION

The call: [ask you, urge you] is to please God.
The cheer: "as in fact you are living"
The charge: to do this more and more
The canticle: "in the Lord Jesus"

APPLICATION

The only way to "more and more" is "in the Lord Jesus"

PRAYER

Jesus,
Allow me to please God more and more as you, and you alone work in me.
