WHO? Me?

TODAY'S READING: 1 Chr. 14,15; Ps. 132; Mt. 18

SCRIPTURE

Matt. 18: 1-5 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, "Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?" [2] He called a little child, whom he placed among them. [3] And he said: "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. [4] Therefore, whoever takes a humble place—becoming like this child—is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. [5] And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.

OBSERVATION

It's just like Jesus isn't it. The disciples ask Him one question and He answers another, or does He? The disciples ask who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven and Jesus put a little child in front of them and tells the disciples who gets into the kingdom and how.

APPLICATION

Steps to the kingdom
1] "YOU" must change
2] "YOU" must become like little children.
3] "YOU" must take a humble place
4] "YOU" must welcome others with the same heart.

PRAYER

Holy Spirit,
Make me child like. Make my heart one of wonder, one of awe, one of admiration, and one of delight.
Make me child like. Make my mind one of trust, relying on You, and You alone.
Make me child like. Make my body one of dependence, running to You.
Make me child like. Make my strength, your strength; allowing me to encourage others to seek You, to find You, to know You.
Make me child like. Without opinion.
Make me child like. Without judgment.
Make me child like Without hate.
Make me child like. Knowing when I cry, you'll comfort me, and when I laugh, you'll laugh louder.
Make me child like. Make me Yours.
WHO? me.
