CHOICES, CHOOSE

TODAY'S READING: Isaiah 29-31; James 1

Scripture

James 1:22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
Isaiah 30:15 This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says:
"In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.

Observation

Two different testaments, two different books, two different authors. One God.
Begging me to repent, to rest, to listen, to trust, to do.

Application

I choose to continually turn to God, and quit turning away. Repent.
I choose to spend time in His presences. Rest
I choose to rest in the calmness, the quietness of His sovereignty.
I choose to do what He says.

Prayer

Father,
This day I choose to stop, turn to you, listen, trust and do your good will, your good and perfect will.
