HAVE YOU SEEN THE LIGHT?

TODAY'S READING: 2 Kings 20; Isaiah 38,39; Psalm 75; 1 Peter 2 [TNIV]

Scripture

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chose people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Observation

Not just called out of darkness, but called into his wonderful light.
When Peter penned these words, I wonder where his mind wandered.
Was it to a early morning sunrise, with but a few rays of light showing, and there is Jesus walking on water?
Did his mind race back to the Mount of Transfiguration, when he beheld the wonder of God, of Jesus?
Or was it resurrection morn, when it dawned on him, "HE LIVES"?
Where ever his mind went, this is what he declares: you are a chose people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession.

Application

God's special possession, act like it!
Called into his wonder light, share it!
Chosen, Praise Him!

Prayer

Father,
Thank you for revealing your Son to me.
Thank you for choosing me, calling me.
Praise be to your name, for not only did you call me out of darkness, you called me into the wonderful light of Jesus.
Now, by the power of the Holy Spirit, allow me to act like your special possession, allow me to share the love you've shared with me.
What makes the light so wonderful is that it is available to so many.
