FEAR FACTOR

TODAY'S BIBLE READING: Ezek. 20,21; Ps. 111; Rev. 8 [TNIV]

Scripture

Ps. 111:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.

Observation

Fear it is not fright, fear is reverence; unless fear is not reverence in which case it probably should be fright.
Reverence is the beginning of wisdom. Reverence for God, reverence to God.
How much do I revere Him? How well do I follow His precepts? What do I understand?
I understand to him belongs eternal praise, I understand to him I never give that praise enough.

Application

I need to consistently make God, or how about need to permanently make God bigger than myself.
May ever day begin and end with awe, and in between may that awe keep me from being awful.

Prayer

Father,
Praise be to your name, praise be to you, creator, sustainer, and saviour.
Holy Spirit,
Make me continually mindful of how great God is.
Jesus,
Make me continually mindful of how good God is.
Make fear a factor of my everyday life.
