THE BATTLE BELONGS TO THE LORD!

REFERENCE
2 Chronicles 20:22 [ESV] And when they began to sing and praise, the Lord set an ambush against the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah, so that they were routed.
2 Chronicles 20:21,22 [MESSAGE] After talking it over with the people, Jehoshaphat appointed a choir for God; dressed in holy robes, they were to march ahead of the troops, singing, Give thanks to God, His love never quits. 22 As soon as they started shouting and praising, God set ambushes against the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir as they were attacking Judah, and they all ended up dead


EXPLORATION

Got any fights that need to be fought?
What if we thought of the men of Ammon as let’s say; gossip. The men of Moab as pride, the men of Mount Seir as pornography. You get the idea ... you name your sin.
What if instead of fighting our own battles we let the Lord fight them for us? [He does have a pretty good track record].
What if what we did was praise the Lord?
I’m thinking our sins would end up dead.

APPLICATION
Give thanks to the Lord, His love never quits.
Last week I saw a twit on twitter that read; “You can’t listen to praise and watch porn.”
I think that could be applied to lots of sins.

PRAYER
Father,
Fight for me, there are battles I lose everyday fighting on my own.
Teach me to praise you, before the battles.
Teach me to praise you, during the battles.
Teach me to praise you, after you’ve won the battle for me.
Praise Adonai!
