IF!

REFERENCE
Mark 9:24 [ESV] And Jesus said to him, If you can! All things are possible for one who believes.
Mark 9:24 [Message] Jesus said, “If? There are no ‘ifs’ among believers. Anything can happen.”

EXPLORATION
When Jesus made this comment, “If you can! All things are possible for one who believes.” who was he speaking to?
To the father, who had just said; “...But if you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”
To the child who was on the ground convulsing and foaming at the mouth.
To the evil spirit that was in the child, that wasn’t going to be there for much longer
To the disciples, who could have and should have healed the child already.
To himself, knowing he is about to glorify the Father, “anything can happen”
To the faithless, have faith!
To me, years later, “If?”

APPLICATION
Trust and obey!
Believe and behave like it!
Obedience is like MiracleGro
It doesn’t take a lot to make your faith blossom.

PRAYER
Father,
That day long ago, a father and child in front of Jesus needing a miracle and you smiled because you knew your son would come through.
No, not if? WHEN!
Do the same through me, bring miracles to others, that all might believe!
