BLOODY MONDAY

TODAY'S READING: Lev. 15-17; Acts 18
SCRIPTURE
Leviticus 17:11 For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one's life.
OBSERVATION
it is the blood
it is the blood that makes atonement
it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life
it is the blood
not the blood of an animal, a sheep, a goat, a bull, a pigeon, a turtledove, NO!
it is the blood,
it is the blood of Jesus
it is no longer about a sacrifice I make, it is about the sacrifice God made.
APPLICATION
What a great way to start the week. Remembering that Jesus died for me.
Sin has a price, death. Christ paid that price and I’m alive in Christ Jesus.
It is the blood, the blood of Jesus, that makes atonement for my life.
PRAYER
Father,
All you have ever wanted was to have relationship with us. And I have a habit of letting sin get between us. You have a habit of washing that sin away, with the blood of Jesus.
Thank you for loving me, thank you for continuing to love me, thank you for reminding me that I’m washed in the blood.
