TODAY'S READING: Deut. 25-27; Gal. 5

Gal. 5:1 Stand firm / Gal. 5:5 But by faith / Gal. 5:6 faith expressing itself through love
Gal. 5:13 called to be free... serve one another humbly in love / Gal. 5:16 ...walk in the Spirit
Gal. 5:22 the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control / Gal. 5:25 Live by the Spirit ... keep in step with the Spirit

Observation

There is so much to content in Galatians 5, that I just jotted down the highlights.
Stand firm, live by faith, faith expressed in love. Why? Because we are called to be free, free to love others, which only happens when we walk in the Spirit and is self evident if the fruit of the Spirit is displayed, worked out, walk out in our lives. So, let “H” live in me that I might keep in step.

Application

In matters of faith, I stand firm - believing
In matters of the Spirit, - I move and have my being - walking out my salvation.
Living out the attributes of “H” - Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Prayer

God,
My “default” is selfishness, pride, and a dash of arrogance.
My “desire” is Christ-likeness
My “direction” is Spirit [“H”] filled - to live by and walk with.
Take these bits and pieces of Scripture and let Jesus shine through me today.
