LIFT UP HOLY HANDS

TODAY'S READING: 2 Kings 4,5; Ps. 83; 1 Tim. 2

Scripture

1 Tim. 2:8 Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing.

Observation

This verse is cool. It's too "men everywhere"
It's the best of instructions.
It's a call to give up anger and disputing.
It's a call to lift up "holy hands"
Its' a call to prayer.

Application

For some reason it just seems to be apart of "guys", this need to be noticed.
I think Paul understood it and decided to use it and glorify God.
I'm going to lift up my hands, "holy hands", humble hands and pray.
But my prayers are going to be for others.
If people see me with a hand in the air, may the Holy Spirit show them that it's not me showing off, like I'm "holier than thou"; no it's raising a hand in humility for another.
I hope other men join me.

Prayer

Father,
May my prayers more often than not, be for other people, for their salvation, a salvation that is so much more than a get out of jail free card, it's grace, and mercy, hope, faith, peace, and purpose, NOW! That's saved! That's Life - and it should be lived with holy hands lifted high.
