ONE ON ONE TIME w/ God

TODAY'S READING: Joel 1-3; 2 Tim. 1

Scripture

Joel 2:13 Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the LORD your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity.

Observation

The sentence, "rend your heart and not your garments" is a call to do business with the LORD, and to do it alone. One on one time, heart to heart, eye to eye, ear to ear, mouth to mouth; feeling, seeing, hearing and sharing.
One on one time with GOD. A God who is gracious, compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. A God of mercy not giving me what I deserve. A God of grace giving me what I don't deserve.

Application

Today, several times today, I'm going to rest in Him and just experience GOD.

Prayer

Father,
Thank you for verses that remind me to get back to basics, and just spend some time in your presence intentionally.
Show me those moments today.
