LOVE MERCY

TODAY'S READING: Micah 5-7; Hebrews 7

Scripture

Micah 6:8 He has shown all you people what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Observation

God has put it on every person's heart to know the difference between what is good and what it evil. [That's not my job, it's his!]
So what does He require of all people?
To act accordingly - do what is right
To love mercy - Wiersbe defines mercy as "not getting what we deserve" as opposed to grace which he defines as "getting what we don't deserve". So to love mercy is to be thankful that God doesn't give us what we deserve, "for there is none righteous, not even one" [Rom. 3:10] So to love mercy is to be thankful.
Walk humbly with your God,- means to be in constant relationship - trusting

Application

TODAY: act right
affirm others
adore God

Prayer

Father.
You have put it on my heart to love, allow to love others today.
You have put it on my heart to desire relationship, all me relationship today with you and others.
You have put it on my heart to trust, allow this day to trust you.
