WALK, DON'T STUMBLE

TODAY'S READING: Hosea 13,14; Ps. 100, 102; Hebrews 5

Scripture
Hosea 14:9 [9] Who is wise? Let them realize these things.
Who is discerning? Let them understand.
The ways of the LORD are right; the righteous walk in them,
but the rebellious stumble in them.

Observation
As I finish up reading the book of Hosea, I realize that I often am like Israel, knowing God, yet ignoring God. In doing so, in being so, I am the one losing out. There was this verse in chapter 13 that says; “therefore they will be like the morning mist, like the early dew that disappears.” It made me reflect on how I start so many morning with God, but like the morning mist, or the early dew in the business of my day, I dismiss God, and before I know it I’m alone.

Application
To experience His presence more, I need to live out the verse above, and walk in the ways of the LORD all day, every day. At some point on any given day, I stop trusting in Him and stumble.

Prayer
Lord,
Make me wise, let me be more aware of my straying.
Give me discernment, and help me not only understand your Word, but live it out in my life with more consistency.
