HE KNEW

TODAY'S READING: Jeremiah 7-9; John 13 [TNIV]

Scripture

John 13:1 ...Jesus knew that the hour had come ...
John 13:3 Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power...
John 13:11 For he knew who was going to betray him...
John 13:17 Now that you know these things; you will be blessed if you do them.
John 13:34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another, By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Observation

He knew that the hour had come and he continued
He knew that the the Father had given him the power, and he would prevail
He knew that some would betray him, but he continued for those that would believe him
He knew the blessing for those that believe
He knows that some will love like He loved them. Some will be obedient. Some will be disciples. He knew all along, He was dying for “some”. HE KNEW.

Application

He died and rose again for some.
I can not just believe in him, love him, follow him - SOME!

Prayer

Father,
Your son, in his faithfulness - loved.
He loved, knowing some would love him back.
I’m feeling like I love him “some” -
Holy Spirit - help me to go “all-in”
Doesn’t his love demand it?
