FEAR OF GOD

SCRIPTURE
Proverbs 9:10 [Message] Skilled living gets its start in the Fear-of-God, insight into life from knowing a Holy God.
Proverbs 9:10 [NLT] Fear of the Lord is the foundation of wisdom.Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment.
Proverbs 9:10 [TNIV] The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

OBSERVATION
Fear of the Lord - if I had to define it in a word I'd say, "Awe" - in two words, "Holy reverence" - in three words, "Worthy of praise."

APPLICATION
Today, may I experience moments of wonder, "AWE", minutes of "Holy reverence" - worship and a major desire to praise Him. Praise Him, in both word and deed. Praise Him - the Holy One!

PRAYER
Today we swear in a president,
Today we need to swear our allegiance to our Savior
Today people will be asked to make a difference in America
Today we need to pledge to make a difference for the Kingdom
Today people will celebrate a president
Today people, need to celebrate a King
Today may I experience moments of wonder, minutes of worship, and a major desire to proclaim - "Jesus" Kings of Kings and Lord and Lords.
